Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet made an unexpected fashion statement at the Berlin Film Festival, appearing at a press conference wearing a vintage Columbus Crew hoodie. The Oscar-nominated star, in Berlin to promote the Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown,” surprised attendees and sparked reactions across social media with his choice of Major League Soccer apparel.

Chalamet is a known fan of the beautiful game as the French-American actor has admitted that he actively supports Premier League club Chelsea and Ligue 1 side Saint Etienne. However, outside that, he also played football before pursing a career as an actor, playing for Manhattan Kickers when he was a kicker. Not only that, the 29-year-old also played against Liverpool star Joe Gomez.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR COLUMBUS?
While most teams have already played two or three preseason friendlies, Columbus has only played one, against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. However, the Crew will play friendly games against the Houston Dynamo and Toronto FC before opening the 2025 MLS season on Feb. 22 against the Gregg Berhalter-led Chicago Fire.
